And here are the results of my first ever all-grain brewing experience. American Wheat Batch #1.
How did we do? ... The full yield for this batch was two dozen 22oz bottles. I cracked one open two weeks after bottling and it was still a little raw. It had a good flavor, but still tasted a little woody. Four weeks after bottling, we were sitting pretty. The Cascades gave it a nice hop aroma. It's a nice crisp beer fit for a summer afternoon. Six weeks after bottling and it pours with great clarity. Not bad for a first attempt at all-grain brewing in a kit designed for extract! |

This beer made me gag!
Actually, it was quite tasty. Especially from a novice brewer like my sweet husband. I just wish he hadn't given it all away. I only got one bottle out of the whole batch.
